Happy Homemaker Monday

I'm super late to the party today!  I've also not been very good at keeping up with Blogtober this week.  Somehow my husband preached revival at two different churches last week- so it was busy!  Today our homeschool group hosted a Pastors Appreciation lunch, so I've been there and running errands after all day.  It was a blessing to attend the lunch though!  We had nine local pastors come and join us, so that was a blessing!  I know most of them really well also, so it was a fun time together.
This is going to be another busy week.  We are headed to the NC State fair this week for my daughters horse show.  We've never been there so we aren't really sure what to expect.  Then Saturday we have a ladies event at church, followed by Homecoming on Sunday morning.  A lot going on!  But all good things!
So anyhow, I'm happy to have some time to sit down and join Happy Homemaker Monday with Sandra!   I can't wait to see how you all are this week!

*** The Weather ***
It's PERFECT!  It was even cold this week and one day last week we turned the heat on!  It hasn't came back on since Saturday, but it was quite chilly Saturday morning!  Today it was close to 70, so honestly, perfect fall weather!  I'm enjoying it so much!

*** Right now I am ***
Sitting down for a time to rest and write!

*** Thinking and pondering ***
I am excited and nervous about the state fair.  Everyone talks about how busy it is and how much traffic is there.  I'm excited because we have never been before and I always love to see Callie ride and compete, but nervous because I don't really know what to expect.

*** How I am feeling ***
Tired!  It's been a long day, but full of blessings!

*** On my blog ***
I have studied a bit about how October is a great month to start goals!  I've written down several but haven't had the time to type them up and share, hopefully I can do that since we are not as busy the next couple of days!

*** From a friends blog ***
I haven't been able to visit any friends blogs this week!  Hopefully today I can do that and share something fun next week!

*** On the menu ***
I haven't even sat down to do that either!  This last weekend was so chaotic, I came home from church last night (we had a deacon ordination last night!) around 9pm and paid bills.  I really need some downtime!

*** What I am wearing ***
 Black T and red sweatpants

*** On my reading pile ***
Still reading Sisters of Fortune and Irresistible by Adam Atler

*** On my TV this week ***
I finished The Office for the nine millionth time lol!  We are excited about Dancing with the Stars tomorrow night, we are glad they are doing a "Wicked" theme, we loved that movie.

*** Looking around the house ***
Its pretty clean!  My daughter did her piano lesson at the house so she cleaned up for me before then!

*** To do list ***
 Put up fall decorations
 Make a meal plan
 Laundry..  lots of it
Dry clean Stephen's suits since he wore them all last week with all his preaching engagements

*** From the camera ***

We saw this sweet and beautiful owl sitting beside the road the other day.  It seemed like its wing was injured but when we stopped it ran/flew into the woods.  It was sad, but he/she was beautiful...

I told my daughter to tell me she's a cowgirl without telling me she's a cowgirl lol..  she had her spurs on her boots all week

We loved hosting our local pastors for a Pastors appreciation lunch today!  I so love all of these men and appreciate what they do!!

And... LOOK what I found at the grocery store!!!

Best. Dessert. Ever!

  1. Hi Stacy! Thanks for stopping at my blog. I'm happy to meet you here and am looking forward to reading more.
You've been so busy! We've also been doing Pastor Appreciation. Last week we had a potluck for it that I and a friend were in charge of. A potluck is pretty simple, but still things to take care of.
    The owl is so cool!
